Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, goes to the outside search provider responsible for those results. We do not save a copy of that query on our servers. When you send us a message, we receive the details you decide to include and use them to answer the request.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems generate ordinary logs that may contain an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time stamps. Aggregated use helps us maintain the service and see which resources visitors use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar technology where applicable.
How We Use Information
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and editorial improvements. We do not sell a visitor list or assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Government portals, Knox County and Tennessee offices, library collections, and outside search services follow their own privacy terms. Information submitted after leaving Knoxville People Search is controlled by that destination. The same rule applies to sponsored search results supplied by an independent company.

Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal data so we can remove it.
Your Tennessee Data Rights
The Tennessee Information Protection Act, Tenn. Code Ann. Title 47, chapter 18, part 33, gives qualifying consumers rights that can include confirmation and access, correction, deletion subject to exceptions, a portable copy, opt-out choices, and an appeal. Coverage and exceptions depend on the controller and request. Because we retain little, a request often involves only our contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Knoxville, Knox County, or Tennessee offices remain outside our control and must be addressed with the custodian.
